The ZN6/ZC6 platform is one of the most driver-focused chassis built in the last two decades. The factory mirrors are an area where the budget shows. They're functional, but they do nothing to manage the glare from headlights behind you at night. ApexVision's Blue Tinted Mirror Glass Set changes that for the better part of a decade's worth of 86, FR-S, and BRZ builds.

Each mirror is nano-coated using a sol-gel process where particles are chemically bonded directly to the glass at under 100nm. This is a fundamentally different construction than the vacuum-coated blue mirrors that dominate the market. Vacuum coating deposits a chrome base layer followed by a thin blue layer that can't bond to surface imperfections, creating pinholes that spread with normal cleaning and weathering. The sol-gel bond is molecular, covering the entire surface uniformly, and it results in 7H surface hardness that resists scratches and corrosion through years of outdoor exposure.

The blue tint reflects approximately 60% of blue light and reduces the intensity of yellow and red wavelengths. The headlights behind you at night are still visible, but they're no longer the blinding distraction that causes you to hesitate before a lane check. The image is clear and sharp. Wide-angle optics further expand your field of view, with the passenger side providing 1.4x the visible area of the factory glass and the driver side increasing that to 5.5x.

Water-repellent treatment is built into the manufacturing process. Rain sheets off rather than beading and distorting the reflection. The anti-fog coating keeps the mirror surface clear in cold and humid conditions. Direct OEM replacement fit across the full ZN6/ZC6 production run.

Installation Notes

Direct OEM replacement installation. No modification to the vehicle required. Handle the glass carefully during installation to avoid contact with the coated surface.

1. Carefully remove the factory mirror glass from the housing using a trim removal tool
2. Disconnect the factory BSM connector if equipped
3. Connect the ApexVision mirror glass BSM connector where applicable
4. Press the replacement glass firmly into the factory housing clips until seated
