Frequently Asked Questions

Will this display fit my 2023 Model 3?

This 8.8″ dashboard is designed exclusively for Model 3 Highland (2024+) and Model Y Juniper (2025+). It is not compatible with earlier Model 3 or Model Y versions due to differing dashboard architectures and connector types. If you’re unsure about your model year, reach out to our support team with your VIN for a quick confirmation.

Does installing this display void my Tesla warranty?

No. The installation is completely non‑destructive and uses plug‑and‑play connectors – no cutting, splicing, or permanent modifications. Under standard warranty laws (such as the Magnuson‑Moss Warranty Act in the U.S.), a dealership must prove that an aftermarket part caused a specific problem to deny warranty coverage for that repair. Our display does not alter your Tesla’s core systems.

Can I still use the original Tesla center screen as usual?

Absolutely. The new 8.8″ screen works in parallel with your Tesla’s center display. All your original controls, maps, and settings remain unchanged on the center screen. The instrument cluster simply provides an additional, always‑visible set of driving information right in your line of sight.

How long does installation really take, and do I need special tools?

Most first‑time users complete the installation in 25‑35 minutes. The package includes a customized pry tool and a detailed pictorial manual. You only need a standard plastic trim removal tool (the included one works perfectly) and a bit of patience. No drilling or mechanical experience required. The video at the top of this page shows every step in real time.

What about software updates? Will the display become outdated?

The display runs a custom Linux OS with OTA (over‑the‑air) update capability. We regularly release firmware improvements and new UI themes. As long as your display is connected to your phone’s hotspot or Wi‑Fi during setup, it will receive automatic notifications when a new update is available. It’s designed to get better with time, not become obsolete.

Returns are eligible for up to 14 days from delivery of items. Accepted refunds can take up to 7-10 business days to process. All refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee, if opened. Customer may be responsible for return shipping. If 14 days have gone by since your item was delivered, unfortunately we can’t guarantee you a refund or exchange. We reserve the right to deny any return request, based on provided information.

Alliance Racing is not responsible for ensuring part fitment. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the parts being ordered are the correct fitment for the vehicle intended. Alliance Racing will not accept any returns for incorrect fitment after product is opened.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
