Overview
The advantage of a rolled tube core is the rounded edge which allows airflow to travel around the tube face and into the intercooler core for maximum airflow and heat dissipation (Compared to the OEM flat face tube which scatters airflow when contacting the tube face). Both the OEM intercoolers and the CSF by PWR upgraded performance intercoolers are designed around 87mm thick cores with 103mm wide side channel end plates. This allows for a true plug-and-play "drop-in fit" installation that requires absolutely no modifications to install, and does not require trimming of the expensive OEM carbon fiber air ducts.
The CSF #8166 Cooling product is designed to be a "Drop-In Fit" application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. Please see the manufacturer repair manual for standard installation instructions. If you do not feel confident installing this product CSF recommends taking it to a qualified installation facility.
